While everyone’s bus ride length varies, it averages to about 40 minutes overall. Although some bus rides are longer than others, everyone finds their own way to pass the time. For some, it is a great time to catch up on sleep or some last minute homework. For others, bus ride conversations vary from “commiserating about schoolwork” to heated debates. Most people do enjoy the bus ride, but some students dislike the loss of sleep, which is why sleeping is the most popular bus activity aside from talking to friends and listening to music. In addition, field trip bus rides allow for bonding experiences between students.

Waking up earlier to catch the bus is a little bit hard sometimes and is harder some mornings more than others, but a lot note that it’s nice to see the sun rise in the morning and watching the scenery can also be nice. Early morning in the fall, it’s almost completely dark, which is really peaceful and a great atmosphere for sleeping.
Bus rides can get interesting sometimes. Heated debates happen occasionally, but they are always fun and a great bonding experience. Some juniors talk about how the seniors on their bus rides always have exciting stories to share, and seniors say how fun it is now that it is them sharing their own stories.
